A gauging and sampling tube consists of a hanging pipe and an attachment pipe, as well as a sleeve for welding into the cap of the tank nozzle.
The device can be deflagration proof. Gauging and sampling tubes are used to gauge the tank level via a dip stick or a manual measuring device, as well as for sampling from the tank with suitable sampling pots.
